POV: Perspective Platforming
A downloadable game for Windows
POV is an experimental project that aims to bridge the gap between 2D and 3D projection on a screen.
By using a mixture of orthographic and perspective projection, I was able to create a system that let's you interact with 3D meshes as though they were 2D shapes on a screen.

This is an interesting idea, another riff on idea on turning a 3D world into a 2D platformer.
Unfortunately the game is a disaster on Windows: the game consistently crashes after a couple of minutes due to memory leakage. After entering an actual level, I launched Task Manager, and watched the memory usage steadily increase until about 3GB, after which the game would crash. Troublingly, if I quit out to the main menu before this limit, the memory usage would remain at around the same high level, instead of resetting to the usual start menu memory usage! Maybe there's a garbage collection issue going on here, maybe it's something else. Regardless, currently, the essentially unplayable for more than a couple of minutes on 64bit Windows. I hope this is fixed in a future update.
